Founded in 2019 by Felix Torres and Lacey Wright, the Wright Torres Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the areas that have provided so much fulfillment: animals, mental health, and music.
The foundation supports organizations and initiatives in these three areas through grants, partnerships, and direct programs.
Past Involvement
Texas Institute for Orchestral Studies
2021–2026Co-Founder; Artistic Director & Principal Conductor (2023–2026); Associate Artistic Director (2021–2023)
Dedicated to training the next generation of orchestral musicians through intensive weekend programs. The institute provides high-quality musical education and performance opportunities for students across Texas, preparing them for advanced study and professional careers in music.
The Conducting Institute
2020–2026Managing Director (2024–2026); Associate Director & Director of Admissions (2020–2024)
A training program for aspiring orchestral conductors, offering workshops, masterclasses, and mentorship with hands-on podium time in front of professional orchestras.
Caminos del Inka, Inc.

A 501(c)(3) BIPOC-led nonprofit whose mission is to discover, preserve, expand, and disseminate the musical legacy of the Americas. Its programs include The Conducting Institute, the Texas Institute for Orchestral Studies, and Yaku Taki, a project documenting traditional Peruvian music.
